Roosevelt Gardens, the small unincorporated neighborhood just north of Sunrise Boulevard on Fort Lauderdale's western edge, is one of our closest service areas at about 15 minutes and 7 miles from the North Lauderdale shop. We handle gutter cleaning, repair and replacement here. The local difference is scale: older concrete block houses on small lots, where short downspouts discharge close to the wall and roof water has nowhere to spread.

Practical gutter services for small-lot homes near NW 27th Avenue

We take the small jobs here that some companies turn down: one clogged run, a single sagging section, a downspout that needs to be reattached, or gutter removal on its own. The services below are the ones Roosevelt Gardens homeowners ask for most.

Repair or replace? How a visit works for a home off State Road 7 and Sunrise

Because the neighborhood is close, we can often fit a free estimate into a day we are already in central Broward. The crew looks at the whole system, not just the spot you called about, and tells you plainly whether a repair will hold or the run is past saving.

Streets here are narrow and driveways short, so we park the truck to keep the road clear and roll-form any new gutter right beside the house. Debris is bagged and hauled away, not left at the curb. If you want to understand the trade-offs before we arrive, our guide on gutter repair vs. replacement walks through them.

Older concrete block homes between NW 24th and NW 31st Avenues

Roosevelt Gardens is not part of any city. It is an unincorporated pocket served by the Broward Municipal Services District, bounded by Sunrise Boulevard on the south and by NW 24th and NW 31st Avenues on the east and west, with NW 27th Avenue running through the middle. Franklin Park and Washington Park are its unincorporated neighbors.

It is also getting denser. The 2020 Census counted 2,749 residents on about 0.32 square miles, up from 1,923 in 2000, and housing units rose from 733 to 972 over the same stretch. The ground sits roughly 7 feet above sea level with no lakes or canals inside the boundary, so roof water has to soak in or run to the street.

The housing is mostly single-story concrete block with flat or low-slope roofs and short eaves. Many homes have older sectional gutters, sometimes added years after the house was built, hung on spikes that have worked loose. When a gutter tips backward, water runs behind it and soaks the fascia board, which rots from the bottom edge up.

Yard trees are the other factor. Black olive, mango and ficus planted decades ago now hang over roofs, and on a small lot a clogged downspout dumps water right against the foundation or onto a neighbor's side yard.

Serving Roosevelt Gardens from Sunrise Boulevard north

We work throughout Roosevelt Gardens, from the homes along Sunrise Boulevard up through the blocks around NW 27th Avenue and Roosevelt Gardens Park on NW 11th Street, out to the NW 24th and NW 31st Avenue edges. We also cover neighboring Franklin Park, Washington Park and nearby Fort Lauderdale and Lauderhill streets.

Because the neighborhood is outside any city, county building rules apply through the Broward Municipal Services District. For anything beyond cleaning, ask any contractor, us included, for county competency or license details and a certificate of insurance before work starts. The civic association meets at Roosevelt Gardens Park, and the blocks around it are a good picture of the housing: modest single-story homes, a few duplexes, and mature yard trees.

Typical jobs here are small and practical: re-hanging one sagging run, reattaching a downspout, replacing a rotted fascia board, removal-only work before a reroof, or a seamless replacement when the old system is beyond saving. Most visits come straight down State Road 7 and east on Sunrise Boulevard.

Roosevelt Gardens gutter FAQs

Will you come to Roosevelt Gardens for a small gutter repair?

Yes. We take small jobs as well as large ones, and Roosevelt Gardens is about 15 minutes from our North Lauderdale base. A single loose section on a block home off NW 27th Avenue, a leaking corner or a detached downspout is worth a visit, and the estimate is free and in writing.

Is my older gutter worth repairing, or should it be replaced?

It depends on the fascia and the metal. On Roosevelt Gardens' older block homes with short eaves, if the gutter is sound and the board behind it is solid, re-hanging and resealing is usually the better value. If the fascia has rotted or the gutter is split in several places, a seamless replacement makes more sense. We show you what we find before recommending either.
